Conflict

Conflict is a big part of story’s writing and helping keep the audience occupied with the story. Conflict which is defined as any form of struggle between opposing forms. This is shown throughout the story between the character Valerie and her school life. The major conflict in this story is her overcoming the effects of the shooting. It starts off with describing the scene and letting the audience know what is happening and what will be a major obstacle for the characters that were about of the event. Each character that were apart of the event has to deal with the affects of this conflict between the shooting and trying to continue living a normal life. It was between Valerie and her parents and Stacy trying to push away from Valerie to keep her own friendships. The teenagers trying to overcome the harshness are another big conflict that they must face.
